Find your special sauce

Start your BBQ Trail with pulled pork sandwiches that will melt in your mouth and off the bone. Make a u-turn down off the square to try a BBQ potato or BBQ Nachos at Backyard BBQ on East Main. Fancy yourself a rib connoisseur? Give Raisin’ Cain BBQ or Mr. Babyback a try. From Brownsville head East on 79 toward Sam’s Bar-B-Q in Humboldt. You’ll know you’re there when you see the sign with a Butcher chasing a Pig. You’ll need to take a moment to cool off from the heat of the pit, so check out the West Tennessee Regional Art Center to see the local flavor in art or grab a latte at the Coffee Shop in downtown Humboldt.

Find your spirit

A day for a toast - venture around West Tennessee to find some of the best grapes around. Walk the fields and casks at Century Farm Winery, while listening to local and live music. Travel up the road to find the “Moonshining” at Samuel T. Bryant Distillery. Grab a micro-brew at Hub City Brewery or wander through an Italianate villa in the West Tennessee countryside at Crown Winery.
Whatever your glass, we’ve got your spirit.

Lose yourself in history

Start your day beside the still cypresses of the Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge. Trek West to the Mississippi River at Fort Pillow State Park then roam the halls of Roots author’s home at Alex Haley Museum and Interpretive Center. Head East from Brownsville to explore the connections that run through West Tennessee to railroad history at the Casey Jones Museum or venture to the fields of Shiloh National Park - you’ll find that history’s pages have been written in our backyard.

Find a burger for a song

Start your journey to find the perfect burger at the Basket - winner of the Best Burger in Tennessee competition. From Brownsville, head to Tennessee Safari Park to explore another wild side of the area. Travel down 412 into Jackson to visit a very unique movie car haven at Rusty’s TV & Movie Car Museum. Travel back to Brownsville and try a gourmet burger at Livingston’s Soda Fountain & Grill or try out the cuisine at Cap’s Kitchen & Drink.

“Billy’s art is a perfect example of what one person’s grit and determination can achieve. Go to Brownsville. Be prepared to be amazed, and while you are there imagine what you could do if only you put your mind to it.”
