Hometown Christmas Downtown Festivities and Parade

Children's Parade with Santa & Storytime with Mrs. Claus

Beginning at 3 pm, children are invited to gather on the Haywood County courthouse lawn for Santa's Children's Parade.  Dress festive and bring your bikes, tricycles, scooters or kids' electric vehicles. Then immediately following the Children's Parade is Storytime with Mrs. Claus and pictures with Santa. 

Community Christmas Tree Lighting

Join your friends and neighbors on the lawn of the Courthouse at 5 pm for the Community Christmas Tree lighting including official season's greetings from our mayors and parade Grand Marshal Royce Barnett with flip the switch to light the Christmas Tree.

Hometown Christmas Parade

Hometown Christmas is the theme of this year's parade and will feature more than 50 entries with floats, classic cars, bands, and more - all spreading Christmas Joy. The parade begins at 6 pm and will travel from Boyd Avenue to McLemore along East and West Main Street and around the square. 

Come enjoy downtown shopping, eating and celebrating the season. Sponsored and presented by the Haywood County EMA Support Unit.
